Tim Watt Update

For the last two years Tim Watt has been the worship leader at New Life Robinwood. A few weeks ago Tim resigned from this position and will be taking a full time position in Portland. His last Sunday will be September 4th. He recently penned these words to the folks at New Life Robinwood:

The two years at New Life Church have been a time of much learning, as a person, a father, a husband and as a Pastor. God is so patient with me always, but I’ve recognized His patience more this year. “His mercy is new every day” and I have begun to realize more of the meaning of this daily necessity of drawing near to Him. In all these lessons, I am realizing just how much I need to trust Him with my life, my family and the ministry He gives to me. Thank you for allowing me to lead New Life Robinwood to Treasure God through worship. It has been my privilege to serve the Lord with you. Thank you for investing in our lives, the journey of faith is exciting and scary at times! We appreciate your prayers for us during this transition as we will continue to pray for you and the people of New Life Church.

Some have asked about Tim's new job. He will be a team leader for a company that seeks get young families into their first house. He will have a lot of opportunity to make disciples of young men in this new role. I encourage you as a church to be praying for Tim and the whole Watt family as they launch out into this new adventure.

Others have asked about what is next for worship leading at New Life Robinwood. Well, the Lord provided for our need even before we knew we had a need. Ron and Peggy Pricer have been attending New Life Robinwood since the spring. Ron happens to be a talented and experienced worship leader. Ron has agreed to serve in as our interim worship leader at least through the fall.

Times of change can be challenging, but I trust that God knows what He is doing and has a plan to bless the Watt family and New Life Robinwood. Thanks for your prayers in that regard!
