Alaska Mission Trip- Day 8

We forgot to tell you, yesterday, that Donna got finished with organizing the loft and staining the floor. Way to go Donna! The team hit the ground running hard again today. Darin and Larry got a lot of work done installing the kitchen counter top. The team had quite a laugh about the "water spots" on their clothes. "Really it was from the tile saw." Donna and Nathan did demolition in the bathroom and Lee and Nathan installed a pocket door for increased privacy. Beryl and Louise kept us well fed, even though the kitchen was basically unusable today. Cale did some painting and kept busy as the team video man.

You know what they say, "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy." And this team hasn't had very many dull moments. We have been making good use of the new horseshoe pit. So far, Larry and Darin seem to be the top dogs. The ministry center has a climbing wall on the side and several team members gave it try this evening. One of the most exciting parts of the evening came when Louise and Laurissa got into a major wrestling match in the middle of the kitchen. As you can see from the picture, I think Louise won!

Last but not least, I want to let you know that Paul Metko will turn 65 years young on July 4th. The team surprised Paul with a German cchocolate cake and a card signed by all of us with messages of love. If you get a chance, drop Paul a card in the mail and let him know how much you care about him and appreciate his ministry.

Tomorrow is our last full day of work here at the hospitality house. Pray that we get it all done. Pray that we would make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit. Pray that God would be glorified through our work here! We are... Your Alaska Mission Team.
