Last Friday morning Kelly Zook had a knock at her door. When she opened the door, there was her neighbor who lives behind them. He introduced himself and asked, "Are you Christians?"
Kelly answered, "Yes."
The conversation became more unusual when he asked if the Zooks had been praying for him. She told him they had been praying for his whole family.
Then he thanked them for caring and praying for him and explained that he had just recently rededicated his life to the Lord.
Kelly had asked Ashley to come and listen to what he was sharing. Turns out she was the one who had a burden on her heart for this family. (Kelly admits, "Matt and I had been content to ignore their noise and arguing. We tried to avoid contact with them.") Ashley invited them to the New Life Easter service. She prayed for them regularly. She invited one of their daughters to Sports Camp. That morning she got to see God working through her.
What a surprise and delight it was for Kelly and Ashley to rejoice with him in God's faithfulness. It was also wonderful for Ashley to see some fruit of her love for others and her obedience to the Lord.

Way to go Ashley! Keep listening to the Lord and reminding us "older folks" to have the faith to trust Him.
Ashley....way to show love & have a burden for those around you who need to experience the love of Christ....what an example to us all of the power of prayer...I am reminded of what James says about Abraham in James 2:22,...his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did....
